food is good but service sucks, hadn't been there in a year and was hoping it had gotten better but it hasn't
Waited 30 min no food lost our ticket another 30 min past still no food.
Not sure what’s going on in the kitchen at IHOP in Shelby, however, the kitchen staff is in the back having very loud words with each other. You can hear them fussing all the way out in the dining area. Been nothing but drama since we sat down. Terrible, terrible dining experience. Talk about uncomfortable. Sounded like they were having a melt down back there. Don’t think we will come back here...they need a manager, a momma, a referee or something back there! Need to get it together. We normally love IHOP and have always loved this particular location because it’s the closest one to my small southern town about thirty minutes away. I was with my niece, nephew and parents and suddenly my nephew exclaims there are ants on the window (we were sitting in a jumbo booth coming out of the wall.) The food was okay but ants are NOT.. hope they get rid of them soon!
Food took forever to get and the place wasn’t that busy. Then the food was cold when we got it.
Coffee was cold . Had to send it back. Eggs, bacon, Grits and hash browns were not good. Salt shaker was full of moisture. They got a 2 rating because the pancakes tasted just okay. Last trip there!
Server was good. First cup of decaf was luke warm. I ask for another and it was cold and tasted horrible. When the pancakes came out they were so cold the butter would not melt. First and last trip to IHOB. I did discuss with manager and received a discount on my bill. Still not worth it.
