The Building That Hunt's Battlefield Fries And Cafe' Is In, Is An Old House That Familys Once Lived In. The House At 61 Steinwehr Ave Was Not Here Yet During The Civil War Battle Of Gettysburg, But Was Build About 1900, Yes It Is Small Inside, But We Make Great Use Of The Space. We are CLOSED FOR THE SEASON FROM THANKSGIVING, DECEMBER, JANUARY AND FEBRUARY, REOPENING IN March.

It's a great place to sit outside and have a breakfast made to order. If you like Green mountain coffee this is the place.
Very good cheesesteak! The menu listed them as 6 inch. We asked if they also had 12 inch. They said yes, so that's what we ordered. What we didn't know is that it would be the price of two 6 inch subs. Most places are typically just a few bucks more for a whole sub. We weren't expecting an almost $14 cheesesteak, so just be careful what you order. It was good, but not $14 good!
Great little place!! Got there early, and don't have to wait for a table at all. Waitress was super friendly, and very helpful. The food was brought out very fast, and it was fresh and delicious!! I got the cheeseburger, and my husband got the cheesesteak. We loved them! We will definitely be back!!!
Had to wait for a table as there are few to be had, but the cheese steak was top notch. The bread was great as well and it had the right amount of crunch. My wife had the buffalo chicken and she said she loved it. The only drawback is the lack of tables and the time (as it is long) it takes to receive your food. We will be going back again. I'm a sucker for a quality cheese steak

Two burgers three orders of fries three drinks $37. That's insane! Got two of the three drinks asked for the third and was informed she was busy! Waitress was not friendly, just rude til time to pay!
The chicken cheesteak sandwich is the best sandwich I have ever had in my life!! And the homemade lemonade was amazing too
