Horribly mismanaged the transition as a result of the Huntington merger. Our account was originally with ************** which was bought by *** a few years ago. Then *** merged with Huntington. The transition from ************* to *** was fine. But the transition from *** to the new bank was terrible. I like huntington bank they have customer service and offer good service. However, I have had problems with a recent bonus and had problems getting someone to help me resolve the problem to get the bonus. Or the other option close the account. When I tried to close it over the phone they told me I had to go to the branch. When I told her that a personal account can be closed over the phone she refused to do this. She told me to go to the branch which was unprofessional. She kept insisting I would have to pay $40 to close the... read more

I was notified a number of times that I would be sent a code to my phone to gain access to my account never happened, though I tried many times to have the code sent. THEN I rang customer service - a misnomer if there ever was - and after being on hold for 15 minutes plus, my call was disconnected.I'm pretty happy to be done with these stains

Huntington Bank won't even honor there documents they sent me of our agreement on checking acct...then decided to close acct week later after I did paperwork for direct deposit.for ssdi...now my check in cyber space...guess don't eat this month...VERY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE....READ YOUR MISSION STATEMENT HUNINGTON...YOUR A JOKE

I opened an account recently with this bank. The individual is signed up with was not forthcoming with the details of my account. His name is *** and he works at the ******* MI branch. As a result of this communication breakdown, Huntington has charged me 236 dollars in overdraft fees. This bank is dishonest, complicated and predatory.

I work as a title clerk at a car dealership. We purchased a vehicle as a trade-in that has Huntington Bank listed as the lienholder. The lien has been satisfied, and we just needed proof that the lien has been released from the vehicle. I have called, I have faxed, I have emailed. I have sat on hold for literally HOURS, trying to get this lien release. It has been 3 months. 3 MONTHS, since we purchased this vehicle. Simply the worst customer service in town. I could not get anyone to tell me where to mail my monthly mortgage payments. It was the simplest request, but no one had any answers. Awful!

I would not refer my worst enemy to this awful bank! How hard is it to close an account? I have been a customer of TCF for more than 10 years. I have been attempting to close my accounts for over a week.I called August 10th to close 3 accounts.Two were closed and I received a check with the remaining funds. However there is one checking account that has not been closed.I have called everyday since August 10th as the account continues to remain open.
