I used to think TCF was a good bank but my feelings has since changed. I do all my banking on line as well as receive my statements on line. TCF has updated their emails to send out a notice about my monthly statement being available. The problem is they used to title the email as "Dear Client". they now send the email with my "First, ************* Name". I've asked for my email to be removed. Because of an enployee inability to update an address on my profile when the primary address was updated, my new bank card that expires at the end of the month went to a wrong address. When I can to inquire about the new card, I learned about the incorrect address. After explaining multiple times that the address was incorrect and jumping through hoops to get it correct, a new card was to be sent. As of right now, I am stuck in an infinite loop of nowhere with this bank! My son needed to open an account where there was a footprint where he is in ******** and in ****, this is were it just goes bad. The respond to the feedback you try and call loop of no-where. If there were a ZERO, these idiots would get it. I've done business with them for over 25 years and just recently I had a charge on my debit card that I did not make. The fraud department texted me and I said it was NOT my charge and to decline the purchase. When I got home from traveling, they had POSTED that charge and 2 others that were also charged fraudulently. They have now posted, taken the money and refuse to give it back. They are holding ****** dollars of mine and telling me that they can't give me an explanation of why they are closing my account. I don't know what to do and I have not been able to get anywhere. They are ruining my life!!! Please stay clear of this bank by any means necessary.
Overall if I could would rate our experience as a 0 out of 5 stars. We were victims of fraud after banking with Huntington for more than 5 years. We had a single check we deposited and then realized it was fraudulent. Called bank right away and thought we had taken the right steps to stop the perpetrators. However more than 6 weeks later through multiple visits to the branch and calling on the phone we learn we are non-gratis at the bank. I am home sick with Covid seen my account went negative on 3/19/2021 I had made a deposit of cash in atm on 3/19/2021 and still was charged 2 overdraft fees. Because they have reversed some in past they are refusing to take care of anymore. I am currently not working and cannot leave home because of the virus definitely thought they would be a little more willing to work with long term customers!
0 customer service!!! 2 to 3 days for a call back and the branch won't pick up phone. i've had fraudulent charges on my card weeks to get fixed. can not get a person on phone must go to a branch. this bank has a worst customer service than a cable!
