My daughter went to St. Mary's emergency this past week. The Dr told her that she had a virus and to take Tylenol. Her condition worsened so she went back to St. Mary's on Saturday. The Dr had her take an x ray that showed she was suffering from pneumonia. She was given a script for antibiotics. By Monday her condition had worsened. I took her to DMH where they gave her an x ray that showed she did have pneumonia but the antibiotics prescribed were not strong enough and would never had helped her. The pain center staff are wonderful, along with Dr Furry and Dr Fancher; today I had thrown out my back horribly, and they added me on, with no issues, and I know they are always so busy, but I so appreciate them! Thank you for offering great patient care!
I love st Mary's hospital as a whole but the people at their outpatient physical therapy place need to learn patient care because I was torn apart of what they did to me they to me they made fun because I have scoliosis and that I have a lot of medical problems. They kept calling a medical nightmare and a therapist worst nightmare basically told that I need to buck cause I was in pain. I went into ER with chest pain. I was seen immediately and treated with kindness and professionalism. Ended up having cardiac cath and stent placement. I would choose St Mary's over any hospital in both Springfield or Decatur!
