I just wanted to say thanks st. Anthony's Hospital in Effingham for letting me fall on my face into a wheelchair arm and now I'm having some sort of seizures this is the second episode and I've busted my face again just wanted to say thanks a lot for nothing but more pain
The staff needs to learn to communicate. I was asked to step into hallway while my mother used the restroom in the ER then the woman at the table rudly informed me that I either need to go back in the room or go to the waiting room for privacy. I really wish I would have had the ambulance take her to Sara Busch in Mattoon, the employees here are so concerned with "privacy" that they act rude in the name of it.

It saddens me that I have to see my grandmother suffer as she is in her final stages of cancer. To add to that, the staff who was caring for her had absolutely no compassion. It was like pulling teeth to get help to assist her to the restroom. A nurse had actually sighed when we had to find her and ask her for help while she was on her cell phone. I know there are good employees here and people who actual love there job, but the ones we had dealt with weren't. I don't understand why people do this line of work if you don't h... read more

very attentive staff and great food surprisingly.
Normally it's a wonderful place but the doctor tonight was anything but helpful . He was rude and had s scowl on his face. So glad I am a adult and not a child .they wood of been scared ...Really didn't feel as of he cared at all. He gave me less than adequate care.still have the problem I came in with.was in and out in less than 10 min that included my discharge papers being printed. But like I said usually they take great care of me,esp sense doctors still are not 100 percent sure of what is going on with me
I had surgery there and all of the doctors and nurses were just wonderful.
