An employee at H & R Block made an error when originally filling out my tax paperwork. I signed a ‘Peace of Mind’ agreement. I have been working with the company for over 2 months to make good on their agreement and amend the return. I delayed writing this letter as each time I have gotten back to H & R Block, there has been some assurance that the matter is being looked into, moving through the proper channels. IF I COULD GIVE H&R Block NO stars, I would. How I wish I had read all these reviews prior to purchasing the download software this year. HELP is disgusting. I have been on hold today, 2/8/2021, for approximately ONE HOUR AND 25 minutes and still saying "your wait time is..." DO NOT BUY THE DOWNLOADABLE SOFTWARE. I cannot find any answers to my questions online. The Chat function does not work and it is 1:37 PM Central time on a Monday. In 2021, HR Block has decided to add a "Refund Transfer Fee" option for those stuck paying premium $49.99 to file a 1099-B for stock sales. At the end of their tax filing slideshow, they have two options: 1) is to pay with a debit card 2) is to use your refund. Option 2 costs 39.00 additional to use your tax refund to pay for their premium. All well and good, however, if you wish to change from the 39.00 option to the debit card option to avoid the 39.00 fee, they have no clear explanation nor way of taking off the fee. I have used the software product for years but found an issue with the file this year. After hours of attempted contact with both the support phone number and the online chat, being hung up on and dropped while in que, it's clear this company has misleading advertising and little to no support for the customers needing help.

I went and had my taxes done in July and mailed them off to the IRS. I had to paper file due to an issue with my ex-husband the way he filed. The lady that helped me Signed the paperwork saying that it was complete but never had me sign them. So the IRS mailed back my tax paperwork and I received in October. I immediately went to a H&R Block office and had them fix the problem and mail them back out after I sat there waiting for more than an hour just to have them re-print my paper out. Filled out my tax info, was told I owed the state $ when I didn't due to HR Block burying an important credit. Tried to chat with them several times but was put on hold indefinitely, with my position in line number going up over time rather than down. Interesting... Called in and much the same. I simply wanted to remove an item from my cart because it blocking me from filing my taxes. Had been a HR Block customer for the last 10 years or so but will never use their service again.

Practically impossible to get online or phone customer service help. Horrible automated phone system. Can’t believe how such a large company, used by millions, can have such inaccessible customer service.

HR Block kept my stimulus money in their account and stated in would be in mine by 25. Never received and held on hold for 2 hours. Never received any help so I had to file it on my 2020 taxes which I'm happy to say h&r Block did not do. So if you have not got you a stainless money and you did your taxes through h&r Block there's a good chance they've got it and they're making money off of it. I wish I had a happy ending but I don't this has been a nightmare for me Jo Bertoli

Most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered. I wouldn't recommend a jackass take their business there.
