After using H&R Block for years, I feel they have changed their business model to force customers to use their Pro and other higher cost services even if not needed by customer. Doing your taxes online you will find so many interruptions between each step to ask you if you want to use a higher priced service and if you make one mistake by clicking yes instead of "No thanks" then there is no easy way out. I paid $29.99 for the Deluxe E-File so I could get support. When the IRS said they did not receive the return that H&R Block said was submitted I called for support and was told I had the free version. I emailed their support and sent a receipt showing I paid. I called them again and was put in a queue for over 50 minutes. Then the hold music stopped and there was dead air on the line for over half an hour before they hung up on me. I am close to asking for a fraud chargeback as I was not given the service I paid for.

Used them for years this is first year with issues. my taxes are stuck in a server not sent to irs - customer service is awful telling me to wait it out - chat times are long, held on phones over 2 hours today to tell me it will be escalated. well 3 weeks now and my taxes were not filed. I want a refund of the monies paid to Block for their so called service and I want my taxes released to irs - the answers I have received are not acceptable. Do not see Israel or anyone at the ***** * ******** ** ******** ** ******** ***** or even any H&R Block! It will be an utter waste of your time. My husband and I made an appointment at another H&R Block on Hammerly in Houston. Before I made the appointment I asked very specific questions about our tax situation and was told they could help. However, when we got there, they did not know why we were there nor were able to help us. I am not happy about the practices of H&R Block. I paid a nice sum of money to have my taxes electronically filed with the company but the taxes were never filed. I am now being told that I have to manually send in my taxes based on an error from H&R block. I have been waiting for more than 6 months for information on my taxes to be filed. The taxes were rejected and H&R block never reached out to me saying that my taxes were rejected or why they were rejected. I did a online tax program and paid for it fill out forms and everything else haven't heard anything from irs about it try resolve problem by calling support and they just don't answer seems like I'm getting the run around from HR block

While sitting in reception area overheard an associate conversing with a client. He was speaking his opinions unabashedly about former President Trump, and not at a level within his work space. I had the Port Townsend, WA, office do our taxes last year for 2019 in an attempt to lower our costs. The CPA who had been doing our taxes for several years kept raising her rates. Kim G*****, a "Senior Tax Analyst" did our taxes and all seemed well even though we ended up having to pay $84 in additional taxes when we historically receive a refund. Horrible experience. My taxes were rejected over 5 times for something so simple. I didnt realize that HR Block has me under 2 different accounts. There are taxes for all prior years except 2019. I even thought, for a moment, that I hadnt filed my 2019 taxes. It took me an entire day to figure out that I have 2 different user names so all taxes were filed under one user name and 2019 was under another one.
