For the last 20plus years a CPA firm has been doing my taxes. Wanted to get one nearer home, so I tried Block. Block charged twice the price CPA firm ALWAYS had refund direct deposited, Asked Block to do the same. Never happened. IRS says they mailed the check. Asked office to mail this, and previous years returns back to me 2 weeks ago, Naver happened. IRS doesn't have curent direct deposit info now so stimulus checks will be delayed as well!\BAck to CPA outfit!,

I completed my taxes online and then had an H & R agent review my taxes. I paid extra to have this completed. When they returned by taxes for me to review they billed me for more money. The office that looked at my taxes could not figure out how to take this extra fee off. I waited over 3 weeks and they could not figure it out. So, then the office charged me another fee for them to do them in their office and send them to me, which I had to pay if I wanted my taxes back, so I paid it. I called customer service over ten times about my Emerald Card not working when i go to use it at the store or pay a bill. the agents put you on hold for a very long time and they don't tell you what they are going to do, they just put you on hold. they seem to have no clue as to what they are doing and they keep repeating themselves over and over. they do not have good listening skills and they basically are there for a pay check because after 11-12 calls i still received no help and my issue was never resolved! I spoke to a person who identified herself as the manager. She refused to honor a $25 gift certificate for returning customers, and was exceedingly rude to me, hanging up in the middle of the conversation, and refused to take my calls afterwards. The employees would not give me her name.

I have been a software user for six years. Each year when I have an issue, I call the customer service line and have to wait at least an hour each time to get to talk to someone who cannot solve my issue and who transfers me to another department where I have to wait at least another hour, only to be disconnected. This year is the worst. I ordered a backup CD with my Premium software (6 weeks ago) and I have called at least ten times to find out when I would be receiving it. I had a appointment with H & R Block to file my taxes. I explained to the senior tax analyst, at the Highway 96, Franklin, TN office, that I had previous tried to file online and was unsure of the result I received stating I owed money this year, and in previous years I always received a refund, so I wanted a professional to make sure it was correct before I filed. All they care about is getting their fees. They don't care about trying to get your max refund or trying to get you any tax breaks or write offs. I don't think they train their employees well at all. It is never easy to get ahold of anyone on the customer service line and when you finally do they give you the run around our say they have to transfer you too another department only for the same thing to happen again. You will be better off using an online service or learning to do it yourself.

This was the most HORRIBLE experience i've had with a company maybe ever. I hired Delia online to do my taxes and she was responsive for the most part for about a week or two and I sent her my documents. After about a few messages I continued to message her in order to ensure that my taxes were going to be done properly and she did not ever respond to me again. I will never use H&R again. I filed with them 6 weeks ago and IRS still doesn't have and I can't get anyone on phone to help.
