The hotel is beautiful BUT I can't believe their standards for cleaning! I booked an Explorer Suite and loved it but their floors and walls were filthy. I used one of their wash rags and ran it across the bathroom floor and it was black. Mattresses are hard, bedding was nice.

Hotel Vandivort is one of the most beautiful places in Springfield. Everything from staying the night, eating at the restaurant, grabbing a drink at the bar, or like us, having your wedding there, is gorgeous and perfection. On Friday after our rehearsal dinner we spent the night at the bar and it was one of my favorite memories from the weekend. The next day, our wedding day, was even more amazing. We LOVE this hotel! It's downtown location, open lobby/restaurant/bar and excellent staff are the beginning of a fabulous experience! The rooms are the next! We have stayed in several of the room types and each one is top-notch! The rooms are beautifully appointed, the beds are comfortable and the shower is great! From design to service, everything is top notch
Hotel was lovely, the attention to detail is spot on and the staff were all so friendly! Love the bathroom with its watercloset and walk in shower. The history of the building is so interesting, and the amount of history and symbolism they kept with the hotel is fantastic. And you simply must do the HotelVandivortBathroomSelfie....if for no other reason than to marvel at the exceptional lighting from the mirrors!
Had a perfect experience at Hotel Vandivort! I would absolutely recommend staying here if you're visiting Springfield or anything surrounding! From their private parking lot to their perfect decor, it's a 5 star for sure!
