It has a wonderful view over the lake
My husband and I came here for our anniversary. What a special place. Everything was beautiful. I love how much thought was put into every detail. Love the wood burning fireplaces. The room was spacious and very clean. This hotel felt like home. Nice surprise of live music and breakfast mimosas. I do not think I have ever seen a hard working staff. Excited to return one day.

My friend and I drive up from DesMoines to have dinner with my cousin. First of all- this is a Beautiful hotel. A true gem and I wish more people knew about it. The restaurant was almost empty on a Wednesday night at 6:30. We were seated immediately, had our drink orders taken right away( I tried a TaxiCab- a bit like a screwdriver with some other great flavors in it- very tasty) We ordered the spicy salmon sandwich, onion rings, meatloaf melt sandwich and fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. Beautiful hotel. Our dinner was delicious and the waitress was very friendly. The library with the beautiful copper fireplace was cozy. Wish we would have taken the time to check out the bowling alley!
