Great Jacuzzi tubs – Great staff, really nice customer service. I really felt like I was being taken care of. I got a a penthouse suite for a regular room rate one night. Beautiful balcony views, great jacuzzi tub. My fireplace wasnt working so they sent up a bottle of wine! Great bar downstairs-Jake's grill, they have an excellent happy hour.

BEST BEDS I'VE SLEPT IN!! – MY HUSBAND AND I WENT FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY, TO AVOID THE HIGH PRICES AT THE OPRYLAND HOTEL. IT WAS LOVELY....THE ROOM THAT IS. THERE IS ALOT OF CONSTRUCTION OUTSIDE SO THE VIEW IS SHOT. NO HOT TUB, NO INSIDE POOL. FOOD GREAT!!! THE BAR, WELL ITS A HOTEL BAR, NOT MUTCH TO SAY!!! AS FAR AS SURROUNDINGS FOR THE PRICE ITS GOOD BECAUSE YOU ARE CLOSE ENOUGTH TO DOWNTOWN TO ENJOY A NIGHT OUT. AND THE HOTEL OFFERS FREE SHUTTLE RIDES TO AREA ATTRACTIONS!! THE BEDDING IS AWSOME, BIG WHITE AND FLUFFY SHEETS, ... read more

enjoyed my stay, would return – I was pleasantly suprised at the room and the level of service here. Smallish rooms with lots of flair. I would stay here again. Get the online special rate. "Betty"?

The grace of a bygone era distilled into one classy little bar. – In Short Located in the retro Hotel DeLuxe, this clubby bar has remained relatively unchanged since the mid-20th century. Formerly the hotel's solarium, the bar is now dark and cozy--a swell choice for intimate conversation. For those who seek anonymity, it can be found among the traveling businessmen and holiday-makers who lodge at the hotel. Driftwood offers lunch, a bistro menu for dinner, and light fare until closing. Brunch and light bites are served on S... read more

Awesome Happy Hour Menu – Supercheap highclass food on the happy hour menu. I've made this a regular stop for 'dinner' lately. I never went to the old Driftwood Room so I can't make a comparison, but I can say that the new place is a lovely little find. Very dark and mysterious in an old Vegas way, especially with it's odd kidney bean shape.

The new Driftwood Room at the renovated Mallory Hotel is a sad shadow of its former glory. Its limp-wristed, high-priced menu is over-pushed by unctuous and insincere bar staff. The drinks said staff pour are insultingly stingy for the price they charge. On the plus side, the new Driftwood Room is non-smoking. Avoid this vacuous and fabricated poseur pit.

This grand hotel offers a glamorous big-city feel with a touch of homespun hospitality. – The Scene The Governor was built in 1909, following the prosperous days of the Lewis and Clark expedition. The initial idea was to bring a "hotel of quiet elegance" to downtown Portland. Back then, guests only paid $1.50 to $2 for a room--and that included breakfast. The prices have changed, but the hotel is still elegant. The interior is filled with warm-hued early 1900s-style furniture, a Lewis and Clark mural, and mahogany-trimmed wa... read more

Don't make a special trip here – We stayed at tha Mallory Hotel which was a great experience. We dropped into the bar there and it was dark and small. Nothing special, but pretty good for not leaving the hotel. You don't want to make a special trip to drink here though. The one bartender was nice though as were all of the Mallory employees.
