A welcoming refuge from the bustle of the city!
This will be our 3rd summer staying at the Elysée. The club staff are phenomenal! They are always so welcoming. I truly look forward to seeing them each year. Centrally located and close to the subway. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else when visiting NYC.
Lee Simpson and I met some friends for a brief holiday in NYC and stayed at the Hotel Élysée. It was wonderful and is located in the perfect part of the city for just about everything we wanted! A great atmosphere throughout the hotel, especially in the lounge. The Monkey Bar had excellent food and service. We plan to make this an annual event.
My husband and I have stayed here several times for weekends without our kids and we keep returning! I love the old fashioned atmosphere and the wine & cheese happy hour is outstanding. Most recently we stayed for Thanksgiving and brought our 2 children for the parade. Although it was previously a romantic getaway for us, our girls were also impressed with the Elysee and enjoyed staying in the suite. They can’t wait to go back now too!
Racist and tone-deaf. The front desk of this hotel prominently displays a widely understood as racist symbol, an ape as black man. See photo. When told it is offensive to many, reception staff dismissed as “never heard that before”. There are many other ways to depict monkeys that offend no one!
AMAZING staff. a beautiful, comfortable cozy hotel. every detail taken care of. lovely complimentary continental breakfast and nightly wine happy hour. rooms are nice size and AC works fantastic. 6 stars!! I will stay here again.

Gorgeous hotel. Old world charm in a busy city. Attentive service. Loved the complimentary pre-dinner drinks/cheese and relaxing calming music in the Club Room. Location is perfect. Walking distance to Central Park. Some nice restaurants across the road plus a lunch deli. Thx for helping make our visit to NY perfect.
