The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They will help you find the good spots for dinner and brunch in the area. Location on Sutter street is convenient, 15min walk from Union Square.
Feb 2013: there's construction across the street and they were going at it at 3 am through out the am. Horrible night of sleep
Great customers service, beautiful ambiance, daily wine reception for free,walking distance to Union Square, cable cars, Powell Street - had a great stay
People with small dogs: this hotel will upgrade your small dog to a large dog if you ask politely at checkout. Otherwise, your dog will stay small.
Horrible beeping from elevator will keep you up at night and staff will pretend to not hear it.
Good budget hotel. Not fancy at all, but confortable enough and the reception desk team is more efficient and friendly than a lot of five stars out there.
Make the most of the free wine at 17:30. It's only for 30 minutes though, so get a couple of glasses in. Tip staff for a bigger glass. ;)
