Food is over-the-top, amazing, bold, imaginative and delectable! The decor/vibe is awesome, campy, kitschy and fun. It's a bit chaotic and noisy and you'll enjoy every second of it!
I went for my first time yesterday and was extremely satisfied! The drinks were amazing (both recommended by our waitress who took our individual tastes into account). The food was very good as well, and I'm picky when it comes to Asian food. I had the steam fry rice and the ramen. Very tasty and flavorful, with large portions for each that were easily shared between the two of us with us still having leftovers. Will definitely come back!
Hot Joy is my new favorite restaurant. The staff was great and very attentive. I loved the tandoori cauliflower, barbeque pork dan dan, and ramen. I know I went on a quiet Thursday night. I would expect to wait on weekends and not complain. Southtown is a popular place and I think Hot Joy worth the wait... especially since can order a great flaming tiki drink to pass the time.
I bow to your most awesomeness food, drink and service. Your wings are so good, I'd put them on a piety level that would rival Zeus and all the gods themselves. Definitely eating here again.
