About this business

Hot Joy is a trendy restaurant that serves a blend of Chinese and Japanese casual food and fast food, and introduces an element of fun into Asian cuisine. The tangy Asian fried items and dishes are relished while seated in their hip dining room with bright red walls and dim lighting. Popular dishes include Glass Noodle Spring Rolls, Dirty Fried Rice, Double Miso Ramen and Shrimp Ceviche with Cincalok tiger’s milk and green papaya. If I could give a negative rating I would. I was dying to try this place after all the reviews and when I finally got the chance I was so disappointed. I'm guessing this is just a hipster place. I order the ramen bowl, broth had no flavor it was just oil and gross and to top it all off there was a hair floating around. Not to mention the HI chicken was so dry and hard like it was sitting around for weeks. I order the wings everyone was raving about and they are completely discussing, hard rock like coating and when you bit i... read more

Tasted like pure squirrel shit. Not the kind you get from those classy joints either. No, this was almost as bad as the goat neck I had back in the spring of 78' . Times have changed and for the worse. I remember we used to pay 13 cents for 2 tons of grapes and now I dropped the poptart in my no no place grandpa told me to never go without a good flying kite to ease the burn of falling off a Lego into a pool of Elmer's glue. Oh how I wish baby's kittens could swim. Maybe then my child hood would have been okay :^)

Went for the first time for the Wednesday wing special. The twice-fried and Korean wings were large, tasty, and a very good deal for the price. If you're going on Wednesday, you will want to make a reservation. The service was decent but the obnoxiously loud music made it very hard for us talk and enjoy the evening. We asked the waiter if something could be done about it and he said he would check but it continued for the duration of our meal. Good food, but the other parts (service/atmosphere) need work.

Delicious food. The table shared edamame, stir fried green beans, and Brussels sprouts(amazing!). The entrees were also great. We tried Shrimp Pad Thai, Curry mussels, miso ramen, and cumin pork. The desert was just the cherry on top. We shared the apple fritters, yogurt cake and chocolate mousse. Wow what a meal. I highly recommend the frozen zombie cocktail also. The atmosphere was really fun too.
