Food and service was outstanding!!!!!! It is pricey but worth every penny!
Phenomenal food. We have been fortunate enough to go once every year over the last four years (mostly for special occasions) and are blown away every time we do. Service, ambience, and food all make for a fantastic dining experience at one of Birmingham's best fine dining restaurants. This was our first visit to the restaurant and we were celebrating our 15 year old son's birthday. The food and service were incredible! We enjoyed the entire meal from appetizer to dessert. Highly recommend!
It's been many years since I ate at hot and hot but I remember even back then the food was amazing. Highly innovative and fresh with local ingredients. Now I live in Texas. Needless to say Chef Hastings deserves all of the accolades he has. Keep in mind I lived there 5 years until 2002 and the menu and experience is still on my mind. I love Birmingham, I don't think people realize the diversity of the town.
Dinner was lovely. BAMA Bound with my son JJ, who has a full scholarship, to the College of Engineering and Honors College. Returned to the rich history of Birmingham and researched fine dining. Chose Hot and Hot Fish Club. Front row seats in the open kitchen watching talented chefs prepare appetizers, entrees and desserts. I actually observed the chef who prepared my pan-seared scallops.
