Hospice of West Alabama has been providing care to terminally ill patients and their families since 1982. We are a 501(c)(3) private non-profit organization, a United Way Partner Agency, and a Joint Commission accredited hospice provider. We care for terminally ill patients in Bibb, Greene, Hale, Fayette, Lamar, Pickens, and Tuscaloosa counties, and we have the only stand-alone hospice inpatient facility in West Alabama.

My uncle is here now, this place is a wonderful place.. The staff has been nothing but nice.. The staff is willing to listen and share their experience.. I know his transition will be smooth and painless.. My aunt was here years ago and she had a beautiful transition.. Thank you HOWA

Hospice of West Alabama was truly a Godsend to our family. Our Mother transitioned here on March 10. Not only did they take excellent care of her,but they attended to our every need as well. Her transition was much more peaceful because of the tranquillity of her surroundings, and the excellent doctors and nursing staff.May God continue to bless you all is our sincere prayer.. They were fantastic. Not like at the hospital where they poke and prod. Very respectful and kind. People never know how valuable a place like that is until they need it.
