Hospice of West Alabama has been providing care to terminally ill patients and their families since 1982. We are a 501(c)(3) private non-profit organization, a United Way Partner Agency, and a Joint Commission accredited hospice provider. We care for terminally ill patients in Bibb, Greene, Hale, Fayette, Lamar, Pickens, and Tuscaloosa counties, and we have the only stand-alone hospice inpatient facility in West Alabama.

RecommendedMy late sister said she felt like she was as a luxury resort during her inpatient time there, and that gave her some well-needed good moments. Both the inpatient staff and the home health staff were kind and invaluable during a most difficult time.
The loving and caring staff have been a huge blessing and a God send for us.

I lost my 11 year old son June 25th, he was admitted as a hospice patient in May and I can't say enough good things about the respect and support they provided to everyone in the situation. HOWA is the only Hospice that accepts children and I'm beyond thankful for these amazing and loving people. ❤️💛💙
