This trendy spot across from Chastain Park has won rave reviews from locals and from critics as respected as those at Gourmet magazine. Set in a rustic old home that feels more like a mountain lodge, the restaurant features a small bar near the entrance and an enclosed, very romantic patio. The menu of forward-thinking regional cuisine includes such innovative recipes as the sauteed spicy Gulf shrimp with Logan Turnpike grits, as well as Southern classics like homemade sausage in cream gravy with biscuits.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASST – MY EXPERIENCE AT THE HORSERADISH GRILL WAS WONDERFUL! I TOOK MY DAUGHTER THERE FOR HER 21ST BIRTHDAY AND WE ALSO SPENT THE NIGHT AT THE RITZ CARLTON. THE HORSERADISH GRILL WAS WONDERFUL! OUR FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL AND THE SERVICE GOOD. THIS IS DEFINITELY A PLACE TO BE VISITED BY EVERYONE WHO LOVES FINE DINING AND I DO MEAN "FINE DINING". I CALL IT "FINE DINING" BUT AT THE SAME TIME, IT IS NOT PRETENTIOUS. IN OTHER WORDS, THE FOOD IS NOT "TOO PRETTY TO EAT"! IT IS PRACTICAL. A BIT PRICEY BUT YOU GET WHAT Y... read more
We had a rather disappointing dining experience at the Horseradish Grill. Everything was very mediocre. The food was bland and tough, the service (I think our server was about thirteen years old) was terrible, and management seemed dazed. I expected much more considering the sizable bill. Atlanta has so many wonderful restaurantsput this one last on the list.
simple and good – Went there for a sunday brunch. Good service, nice southern-style food. I was expecting a bit more emphasis on southern ingredients: scuppernongs, sassafras, chestnuts, molasses etc. But it was good none the less I had the sweet potato biscuit and my only gripe was the use of those egg poaching rings. Go freestyle guys plus one egg was cooked solid while the other was lovely and runny.
Fantastic!! – We went with another couple on a Saturday night and were seated promptly. It is hard to have a bad table in such a small resturant. Our waiter made us feel very relaxed. He did not try to rush us through dinner. The food was GREAT! I highly recommend the flank steak. Great martinis, great desserts, I can't wait to go back. They appreciate your business and understand that you want a great experience if you are going to spend $125 per couple on a meal.
Wasting a Beautiful Location – I recently dined at Horseradish after hearing rave reviews about this restaurant. I cannot see what the hype is about. The service at this restaurant is in dire need of an upgrade. My waitress was completely unattentive, never coming to our table. My party never received anything we asked for, including straws, water, refills. I finished my glass of wine halfway through my meal, but since my waitress was MIA, I had to finish my meal without any beverage. The food here is not worth the price. I ... read more
Enjoyed it very much for the 2nd time! – Been here twice. Once with family several years ago and once with g-friend. Excellent food (southern flair) and good wine selection. I thought food and atmosphere (which are both great) were well priced. Service here is excellent so it is a good place to entertain people important to you. Definitely give it a try.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! – There's almost no word to describe it - it's wonderful. Great quiet, relaxed atmosphere, wonderful food. Don't leave without trying the oatmeal spice cake for dessert - and ask for the recipe from the chef, it's become a family favorite! When my family's in town, we always go - it's just great.
Different Dining experience – The interior was quite different inside from your typical Atlanta restaurant. The service was very good, and they food was great. The waiter recommended a wine that went perfect with the dinner and I even bought a copule of bottles the next day. The dessert menu is great. I will be back again.
