Seemed like a reasonable service on my elderly mom's home. I canceled it after the home was sold several months ago. I discovered another payment left my account yesterday. I call in and they can't find my account and "their system is undergoing an upgrade. They will look into it next week". There was no supervisor to talk with either...

I was considering Home Title Lock after paying off our home. I went to the Register of Deeds to get a certified copy of our deed and was asked some questions. I was astonished to hear straight from the clerk that a homeowner had Home Title Lock but it took them 3 months after their title was fraudulently transferred before Home Title Lock notified the homeowner. I said "3 months"? And the clerk replied "Yep"! My county offers a service that informs you within days of a deed inquiry if you sign up. I immediately signed up.

Their advertisement is Very misleading They tell you no one will call you. I just refinance my home 6 months ago . The Bank called me to find out if this was me or someone else

I signed up for HTL because I am going through a divorce and wanted to monitor any recordings on our properties. I was disappointed to find out that a "Notice of Interest" was filed on one of our homes, and I was not notified by HTL. It begs the question: Why am I paying for this service?I was notified of recordings on our other home (which is why I gave 2 stars and not 1); however, it was not a timely notification because HTL relies on the counties to index the recordings before it sends the notification. They were easy to talk to and able to answer all of my questions. I'm skeptical of everyone and everything but these guys are the real deal. I like that they took the time to explain things to me in laymen's terms and aren't quick speaking salespeople. I wish I didn't have to call them but now with all of the fraud, ID theft and other crazy things people do I want to make sure i'm protected. Signed up last week and when I was given the results of my title scan I didn't see my wife's name on the title. I called Home Title Lock and they helped me resolve the issue with the county. Keeping this service!

I purchased Home Title Lock for my parent's home as I'm worried since I no longer live in the same sate. I feel better knowing I can keep an eye on their property!

called (unsolicited) and left me a message saying I'd signed up -- I have NOT signed up with them. this is a SCAM and probably FRAUD.;
