The check-in process and parking went smoothly. They were happy to upgrade our room for a nominal fee. The room was ok, I felt it could have been cleaner and the common hallways were filthy, never once saw anyone vacuuming or cleaning, there were a lot of bugs & dirt in the corners. The restaurant choices were over priced and the service was not great, but we went to a few restaurants in VA BCH, to only find substandard service. Good location. Friendly and courteous staff. My kids loved the lazy river pool which was the main reason I choose this hotel. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Sliding door was a little rough to open and patio furniture was a little tired looking but it was too cold to sit outside anyways.
There was some sort of college thing going on in Va Beach a lot of young people but they were quiet and very well respectful. Our room was great, nice view of the ocean, if only it were warmer!
Friendly patient staff, great kids activities, breakfast is delish!
