RecommendedAbsolutely the BEST care I could ever want for my dog, Sally. Doctor Nygard has always been 100% honest with me. I always found it humorous that she remembered my dogs name before mine. I thought that was the greatest. Sally just lost her battle with complications due to Lyme disease. Dr Nygard was very compassionate, honest and kindhearted during the long illness. I am very Grateful.
You need to have a vet you can trust. Dr. Nygard is the best. My dog has seizures. She has been a rock. She explained treatment and medication options (pros/cons) and has been carefully adjusting medication and treatment. Because he is young, we need need to be careful about long term impact of the medications. She's been great. Professional and caring.
We have been going to Hilltop for years now. Dr. Nygard and her husband have been nothing but super accommodating to our family and our beloved epilipitic beagle Bentley. The prices are fair and they aren't always trying to make an extra buck off of you, like other vets we previously went to. Wait time is minimal, appointnents are available, the office is always clean and Dr.Nygard is extremely nice but honest and helpful when it comes to what my dog needs. We were satisfied customers of Dr Nygard when she was at the other office. My wife called today for an appointment. She told the (and I say this word lightly) man in the vets office that she was having troubles with one of our cats and was extremely concerned. The man told her very abruptly and rude that "you have never been here, we are books for weeks". "Take the cat somewhere else". I called the vets right after my wife called me. Went here for years with our corgi named Gucci. We took her here when we first noticed an infected lump on her belly. The doctor said “that’s not just a lump that’s cancer” and then proceeded to tell us she’s going on vacation for two weeks and that it can’t be removed for a few months. Didn’t recommend any other places. Went to west side animal clinic, where they stayed late and did surgery for her that day, as they were so worried about her. Truly disappointed. Worst customer service for a place that's supposed to care about living beings. Couldn't imagine what it would be like to actually go there...couldn't get past several rude phone calls by the man answering the phone. Don't ever cancel an appointment at this place; they'll rudely hang up on you.
I'm really surprised and confused by some of the 1 star reviews because I have never had an issue here! I've been bringing my dog to Hilltop for the 4 years I've had her, and my mom has brought the family dog for even longer. I think her prices are very reasonable and less expensive than other vet offices. Just today I needed to pick up some heart worm pills for my dog and other meds for my moms dog, they answered the phone with a very friendly tone and was he was extremely nice and courteous. Called to schedule a new patient visit, the man who answered had less than favorable tone. Sounds like he needs a new career, smile, be friendly. And if your not taking new patients, put it on your website and be kinder when you speak to the public!!!
Love this vet, highly recommend using them, the owners are very friendly and they have great prices, I have been using this Vet for my saint Bernard for the last 6 years and he just recently had to be put down due to old age they handled the situation very well and offered everything that I needed A+ rating!!!!
