RecommendedAs a student this is a GREAT LOCATION! I do enjoy my apartment and the size Would rate higher BUT work orders have never been completed even though I get emails saying they have been...as well as zero communication directly with residents about when/if amenities are getting reopened even though we pay for these things. Very frustrating

I currently live here and love it so much!!! So close to campus and the views are amazing 😍 Staff is so helpful and nice!! I truly recommend signing your lease here.

Hillside is such a nice place! I love living here because of the location and how cute and spacious the townhomes are. It is very close to campus, which is convenient, and you are close to everything. I would recommended looking to live here if you’re attending Texas State!

Parents beware of housing your college students here. We have dealt with nothing but problems here. Our son didn’t have running water in his apartment for about the first month. His truck was broken into and tailgate stolen off his truck right outside of his apartment. Now he goes to check on his apartment because he hasn’t been staying there since March due to COVID and someone has be squatting in his apartment. We have rented 4 apartments from them with 2 students. Each time we had to switch apartments or move out early, they never tried to help sublet. They would rent their empty apartments to get new leases first. Then they would charge bogus fees and electrical even though the city electric is turned off and no one is living in it. Those electrical fees were higher than the real charges from the city. All the staff members are wonderful and helpful! The managers are one of the best additions to the property. All 3 managers make sure to make time for residents and answer any questions that may come up. The maintenance staff are also great! I’ve put in multiple work orders in and have had them completed within hours of putting the work order in! Other places I’ve lived have taken weeks to finish work orders so I’m happy that I can get my things fixed right away! Other reviews say they have issues with parking but I’ve never... read more
I have had the best experience here! The apartments and cottages are adorable. Plus, the maintenance is always quick to respond and the office staff make every day life comfortable and easy! 😍
