The restaurant is operated by a 3rd generation Ellison and current pitmaster Jeff and has been serving the greatest BBQ in the Tri-State area since 1957. Our smokers use real hickory wood and our meats are cooked low & slow for that authentic barbecue flavor. It's been a few yrs since I have ate there my son wanted to treat me to dinner Sunday afternoon and just as I imagine the bbq sandwich was very delicious along with sum great tasten poptosald my son ate the famous pound of ribs and baked beans �� And great service I'll be sure and not wait so long for my next bbq dinner dinner I couldn't of ended the nite any better great food with my awesome son thxs hiqure pit y'all have the best bbq around the tri state ������

Great food very fast service best bbq around will return
I was traveling through Evansville and chose this place for dinner specifically for the BBQ mutton, which I've never had and can't get in Michigan. Delicious! Good potato salad, too.

Had dinner there tonight, we usually do carry out because we have our fur baby with us but tonight just us humans. Ribs were amazing! The smoked chicken very good as usual. Potato salad & French fries great too as well as the service!
