Was in Ames on business. Probably the best BBQ in Ames. Had far better at a place in Des Moines. Was set at a booth, but I was a one person table which may have been the reason why the waitress asked if I need a box 5 minutes after my food arrived. Never saw her again until I needed a box. No drink refill or nothing. Left the box on the table and didnt bother with ice cream. I will admit, after living in Memphis and Texas I am a BBQ snob, but I expected better after all the hype. Amazing place to eat! Cost is very respectable. Servers are fantastic.
The food was very good & you get a lot of what you ordered....it was filling !! I even took some home !! This was my 1st time ever to eat here.....one thing that didn't work for me was they call your number & you go down this long hallway & then have to stand for quite some time !! It was hard for me to stand that long....but no place to sit !! That was not good for me......
