My husband and I went there yesterday with my parents. Wait was like 5 minutes and the food was delicious . If it wasn't so far away I would go back and take my kids.
VERY cool restaurant with super high attention to food allergies. Completely peanut-free kitchen AND gluten-free menu with options. Manager spoke with us and checked about the allergies, and flagged our ticket to be 100% sure that our daughter was safe. Couldn't ask for better service. And food is DELISH! Prices were amazing. Very happy customer!
I drove down to Ames just for the sole purpose of eating down there. I've eaten there many times and I've got nothing but good things to say about them. Not only is the food reasonably priced, but it's good too.
Hickory Park has Great Food and Great service !!!! Don't be afraid of a wait they are exceptionally efficient at serving big crowd.

Been going there since I was a kid. I love the food, the staff, and the ice cream. I do miss the beef ribs as they were the best.
