We visited the Great Hickory Park on Saturday and was really kind of a let down I have been to Bbq joints all over. The brisket was dry and flavor less and the dark meat chicken was even dry. I'm not a fan of turkey normally and that was actually very tasty as well as ribs, the smoked Italian sausage was also a let down tasted like it was bought from HyVee. The most affordable restaurant in Ames! Great BBQ...never disappoints. Been going for years, since East Lincoln way location! Love it!
