My boyfriend and I were traveling to Memphis, TN for the St. Jude marathon event. We were told we could not get on the plane because we were "three minutes late." We ended up having to rent a vehicle from Hertz and drive 7 hours to our location. Marilyn was our Hertz assistant at the New Orleans airport. She was PHENOMENAL! I was of course in tears because I didn't want to miss the deadline to pick up our packets and we had a 7 hour drive in front of us. She provided GREAT customer service and comforting words. Terrible service. Do not represent the hertz name at all.
Update to my Hertz saga... Gerald, the manager, called shortly after my posted review!ð He explained that the $200 will not show as an actual return deposit... it will just vanish as though the charge was never made. So I will own my share of ignorance regarding how the $200 is charged and credited. I bank with PNC and I am accustomed to seeing debits and credits listed by dollar amounts. As a business owner, I do not usually resort to negative reviews about a company if they effectively communicate with me first. However, if I do not hear back from the manager Gerald by today. stay tuned to a very long negative report and dissertation regarding my latest experience with this company. SCAMMER/LIAR Run for this company!We bought a rentcar on Priceline for 200$ and when you arrived to the airport in New Orleans, Hertz gave us a bill for 468$ (We refused all the options except the last one for the fuel for 33$) so we ask her why there were this amount and the employee said "Don't worry you already paid 200$ you don't have anything to pay.
