I hated to give it one star but when you have been waiting for over an hour on the phone to make an appointment, that is pretty bad. Not the VAMC I once worked at, that is for sure!
On September 16 2016 I came to the VA medical center for an MRI of my back and Hip and could hardly walk plus just had Eye Surgery a few days before so I parked in front of the hospital in an Handi cap spot and I was about a foot over the line into a van accessible spot, and An Va police officer wrote me a citation for $45.00 which I have no way to pay. My husband, Dominic, was treated like an American hero at the Huntington VA. He has had excellent care from everyone we've encountered! Connie and Scott in ICU were awesome!
I have been blessed to have people who seems to really care about me and what problems I have ,i don't really complain because I can look around the waiting room and hall ways and see many people alot worse than me praying for all who served past present and future amen

I had three appointments Thursday at the VA in Huntington Lab at 9:30 and a Doctor's appointment at 11:30 and a cat scan at 1:30 and when i was done in the Lab i went to my Doctor's appointment and set there until 1:00 and went to my appointment for my cat scan at 1:30 and then came back to see the Doctor and set there until 3:00 PM and needless to say i was pissed and i had not had anything to eat all day so i told the nurse that i was leaving and she said well we can make you another appointment and i told her to for get i... read more
My Father passed away there in 2000. My dad was a WW2 vet...had medical problems the rest if his life from sleeping in barns during the war with Germany.He always got good medical care , a few things we were not happy with but that happens in about all the hospitals. MY brother passed away this year April 5th at the same hospital , he was a Vietnam vet, we think complications from Agent orange. He got incredible care both at Cleveland and WVA .
