It's a wonderful medical center for the veterans. My Father had two appt's yesterday and everyone we encountered was very nice & courteous. The physicians my Father seen we're very friendly & concerned with his health. We live two hours away from the medical center but I love the trip each time. It's time I get to spend with my Daddy and everyone at the VA medical center is very friendly and helpful. It makes the trip there extremely pleasant. The nurses and doctors helping my wifes grandfather, Harold Baisden, were the best of the best. When he passed, he was taken care of very respectfully. I've never experienced such care and genuine thoughtfulness for a patient and his family like this before. Thank you all for the kindness, respect and generosity fitting for such a great man who will be missed by many for a long, long time.
As a nurse, I have seen care provided in different hospitals but none have came close to the care my grandfather received in the MICU and on 5 south. His nurses Chase and Jake, whom cared for him in the MICU were top notch. Such compassion and explanation of the best choices for my grandfather. These gentlemen do not know how they touched my heart, as well as my family. Then when we moved my grandfather to 5 south, the staff was just the same. I've had good and bad experiences here. But I think that is normal with any hospital. My primary care physician always treats me with respect and thanks me for serving our country. Great facilities and great staff.
Great experience very efficient and friendly and courteous
I've always been treated fantastic there. The only problem is lack of parking for appointments 1000-1400.
