RecommendedThe nicest staff of all Pittsburgh hospitals! I have never met an employee that wasn’t helpful and very courteous! Been going there for a year now once or twice a month.
I just got home from a visit to the ER and the staff that I interacted with was fantastic. I have MS and have been dealing with a lot of pain, I called and talked to Todd, the charge nurse who was extremely helpful and kind even though they were busy at the time. Also was able to answer what he could which is policy. I got to the ER and Kaitlyn was my nurse and Dr Lange was the doctor I saw. I have chosen this ER a few times now because how close it is to my house. So far my experience has been positive. I have been in & out in an hours time and I have had to wait a few hours. But that is any ER, sometimes they get busy and my reasons for being in the ER are not life threatening so I understand that there are patients in need of attention due to severity. they service is slow they are rude and the food sucks
Secretary was nasty and they did nothing for my dad after being in the er last Friday and a doctor visit to follow up they can’t admit him like he needs. They didn’t prescribe the right meds to him and then sends him back home in more pain to go to a different er that has more experience!
My daughter came to Ohio Valley by ambulance in respiratory failure and from the ER doctor to the ER nurses to the transport people they were caring and attentive to our needs. When we arrived on the 3a nursing station it was nothing but the most caring hospital unit I have ever been on. They not only took care of my daughter who was dying but they took care of my family that they let stay 24/7 until she passed. WE were brought coffee tea water, and snacks. the ER is too slow.You wait for hours.
Worst nursing staff ever. Not all but most. Forgot to tell my wife to come back and wait with me for surgery. Nurses stations were so loud they sounded like a school cafeteria at lunch time. Had to wait in pre-op with not one how you doing,can I get you something. My surgeon is very good and the staff he brought with home was very nice. As far as the hospital stafff ,they were inadequate, it's a shame that a staff like this is taking care of your health. I can see why they weren't busy at all.
