Family was excited for a birthday brunch here, but when we arrived to a near empty restaurant, an unfriendly host snob billy asked for a reservation and then proceeded to ignore us while taking a random call, leaving us waiting without acknowledgment..... We waited long enough to determine the chances of getting a good meal here after being treated so poorly were slim. I am so glad we left!! Great place for happy hour at the bar or date night dining. The food is incredible, the vibe hip, and the experience one of a kind. Highly recommend! The late night/bar menu is wonderful - try the tomato soup and grilled cheese! You can't go wrong with the dinner specials, the salads, entrees or the family style dish.
Super creative and delicious food. This place is special, wont disappoint, and a must try for anyone looking for food in Madison.

One of my favorite downtown Madison restaurants. The food is superb and the cocktails are worth the stop alone. Great ambience - always a enjoyable evening at Heritage Tavern.
What a unique menu .. if u are up for an adventure go for it.. if u are a plain steak or burger person .. Not for u. But it was a wonderful experience the food absolutely great. I had a beet salad and Gnocchi .. delicious !😜Great service..
