The food. The presentation of the food. The courteous, knowledgeable staff, elegance without pretentiousness.
We love this place. The small plates to share and the schnitzel is amazing. The craft cocktail and beer menu is well thought out. The servers are among the best in Madison.

Every week Heritage Tavern parks in the only handicap accessible parking space at the Martin Luther King entrance of the Capitol where people come for Concerts on the Square. Clearly their employees and management have never pushed a wheelchair or assisted someone with a disbility as they tried to attend a public event or they would know how hard access still is in 2019.
This restaurant had THE BEST food! Highly recommend the Pork Schnitzel Main! Bacon- wrapped cheese curds.... (need I say more?😊) Deviled eggs, the desserts!! One of Madison’s very best places to dine!*****
