The service department is incompetent, and customer service has been inept. My Cobalt needed a fuel pump replacement. It cost us $100 to get it diagnosed by our neighborhood mechanic. We were informed by both our mechanic and Chevy that it was not part of any recall and the repair would cost an estimated $950. My husband did some research online and discovered that while not considered a recall issue, it was what GM is calling a "special warranty."
