An unusual aspect of the Hen House is its poultry name, but quality seafood reputation. While chicken was the featured item during the 1960´s, the Warn brothers expanded the menu to include fresh seafood. The Hen House, with seating for over 400, is now the largest seafood restaurant west of Frederick. I’ve been to “The Hen House” two times in the last 6 months. I had seafood entrees both times along with cream of crab � soup, which was presented in a very mouthwatering way.Although both were different there was a variety of seafood that was cooked perfectly and delicious. I especially enjoyed the crab � cakes. Everything from the salads,homemade bread to the entrees were served by a very accommodating waitress. Bill and Edie from Bridgeport and Fairmont WV. I’m looking forward to returning there for Sunday brunch soon.�

Love all their food
Tried to go for Mother's Day meal, only to get there and find find it was reservations only. We had checked meneu during the week and NO mention was made of required reservation. If we saw no need all week why would we check back at 1 P M Saturday to see that you had finally required reservations. On other occasions we have called and we're told you didn't take reservations. Went here for mothers day 2018 meal. Turned away at door because we had not made reservations for a mother's day buffet. Facebook post from them says reservations are recommended but did not say you would be turned away at the door if you didnt reserve. Someone should have posted online and on Facebook that this was a reservation only, thanks for upsetting my mom on Mothers Day, way to go Hen House.

Great food. Fabulous service. Eating outside on the porch on a beautiful day. Worth the drive
May 6, 2018 The best compliment I can give this great place is that after 10 years I have finally found the best fried shrimp since leaving the Texas coast. Ever restaurant I have been to in Pennsylvania and Maryland have disappointed but not the Hen House. My husband raved about the ribs he ate there, another great compliment. The food, service and the restaurant itself we're excellent. Thanks Hen House!
