An unusual aspect of the Hen House is its poultry name, but quality seafood reputation. While chicken was the featured item during the 1960´s, the Warn brothers expanded the menu to include fresh seafood. The Hen House, with seating for over 400, is now the largest seafood restaurant west of Frederick. Tasty food and good service
Was excited to try. Unfortunately very disappointed. We sat at our table 15 minutes before anyone waited on our us to get our water order. Than another 5 minuets or so before we received the water. Fried chicken was good but very over priced. My husband got grilled chicken and crab and did not eat it. Not good. When waitress brought my salad I said I wanted dressing on the side she grab my plate up and when she came back she slammed it down and walked away. Will not go back
This place is a gem! The food was amazing!! Everything is homemade with love - chicken noodle soup, bread, salad dressings, croutons, crab cakes, onion rings, secret bbq sauce, everything. I had the chicken chesapeake. It was delicious! The chicken was moist and the crab dip was divine. My husband had the noodle soup and the hen house sampler - steak, ribs, chicken, AND shrimp. Everything was cooked to perfection!! You MUST try this place...
