An unusual aspect of the Hen House is its poultry name, but quality seafood reputation. While chicken was the featured item during the 1960´s, the Warn brothers expanded the menu to include fresh seafood. The Hen House, with seating for over 400, is now the largest seafood restaurant west of Frederick. The hostess and waitress were very pleasant. The service was excellent as well as the BBQ Ribs. Meal was hot. My husband and I will most definitely return.
Drove up from Hagerstown and ate there last night to Celebrate my Mom's 78th Birthday. I had Crab legs and they were cooked Perfectly! My husband had steak that was delicious, Mom and my brother had Chicken. Desert was a glazed pound cake with fresh berries. TheFood was Excellent, Service was Great and we enjoyed it. We will be back.
Stopped in for lunch on our way home from Deep Creek. This is the most adorable restaurant. The food is amazing. The entire staff was so friendly. I will be going back!

Beautiful scenery from the deck, good food, S L O W service. We were seated right away but waited exactly 1 hour for a steak and stuffed shrimp with salads.

We're sorry for your experience. All of food is handmade and prepared fresh. Sometimes when we're busy it can take some time to get your food. We're actually putting some new systems in place as I type to help reduce wait times and expedite service. Give us a couple weeks and come back and try us again. Ate at their weekend brunch. Food was good, shrimp, ham, rosemary fried potatoes, fried chicken, fruit, French toast, pancakes, sausage gravy on biscuits, scrambled eggs, and bacon. $14.95 and that includes unlimited mimosas and bloody marys.
We love The Hen House! Friendly, personable waitstaff, great food and drinks! We go as often as we can!!!
