An unusual aspect of the Hen House is its poultry name, but quality seafood reputation. While chicken was the featured item during the 1960´s, the Warn brothers expanded the menu to include fresh seafood. The Hen House, with seating for over 400, is now the largest seafood restaurant west of Frederick. Great food, service and owners are amazing people!! Def one of our favorite places to eat!
It was our second time to visit the Hen House and we were quite happy with our meals and service! I had the hen house special and my crab queen had the steamed crabs. All but one of the crabs were cooked perfect and my meal was very good and way more food than I could eat!!
Always worth the trip from Morgantown. Great food, great atmosphere, great scenery ‼️😊❤️
We ate there yesterday for the first time . The staff was friendly , and we had great service . The food was very good . We will definitely be back .
We ate at the Hen House buffets on both Easter and Mother's Day. Both times the food was hot (except for salads) and plentiful. There were a myriad of options for Mother's Day: two great fish entrees, crab imperial casserole, beef, ribs and of course, the BEST fried chicken anywhere. When the kitchen did start to fall a bit behind the non-stop crowd, they brought out premium substitutes such as jumbo cold shrimp. Awful! Staff, manager and owner were very rude. They have no respect for their customers. They ran out of food by 3 pm..just in time for our reservations and then we were told that we may have to wait another 40 mins. Unexceptionable!! Food was cold. Left to go eat some where else. Will never go back!
