So nice we had to do it twice! We came to this spot right from the airport and they set the bar very high for the rest of the week. We didn’t find anything that came close to the flavors served up here so we made our way back a second time. I love that it sits in the middle of “da hood”. I can tell they have love for each other. This place is a jem, from the costumer service to the presentation,and let’s not forget the layers of flavor. I am a fan of the establishment.
The chef was very personable, and the food was delicious! Local neighborhood flair. Very authentic NOLA cuisine.
Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try after seeing such awesome reviews. The place is definitely a hole-in-the-wall with limited seating ...but in the best way! The food was 5-star fabulous and the chef came to our table and shared his story, a very nice and humble gentleman. I would say, go..go..go!
Hands down some of the best food that I have had in New Orleans. I ordered the "Bourbon Street" and I was not disappointed. Willie Mae's better watch out because Heard Dat's fried chicken was 10x better. I will definitely revisit and enjoy more of their great food. Keep it up!
