Finally a mother! – Dr. Johnson, Jo Gray and the entire staff at ORH gave my husband and me the support, knowledge and individualized care with resulted in a successful IVF cycle. Dr. Johnson and Jo gave us hope without promises, and because of tremendous dedication to our dream we have a beautiful three-month old daughter. I have and continue to recommend ORH to those in our situation.
One Happy Mother – My Husband and I married when I was 40, so it was not surprising when I did not get pregnant right away. After trying for several months, we turned to ORH for help. My training is as a scientist and I run clinical trials on new medical products, so I have a particular appreciation for the complexities associated with applying medical science and medical technology to an individual patient. At every step, I felt ORH worked to optimize our chances of success. They were extremely attentive to our concerns, ve... read more
Untrustworthy hocus pocus billing – Was told verbally lower prices for different procedures but when the bills started coming in the prices were 20% higher. Seems that they recommend multiple tests and procedures in order to earn money prior to any actual IVF procedure. Please be careful and check with your own doctor to be sure you are not receiving procedures that aren't necessary. Though you may receive a ballpark estimate of 15k for IVF the pre test and procedures they will recommend will add another 4-10k on top of it. ... read more
Business response:
All reputable fertility clinics perform relevant testing before an IVF cycle. The reason is to optimize your chances of conceiving, including giving you the right doses and types of fertility drugs - without testing you may not even be a good candidate for IVF and it would then be unethical to proceed to this treatment option. We understand that medical billing is a potential minefield involving many third parties including billing staff and insurance companies, whose decisions are completely outside of our ability to influe... read more
PLEASE BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH THIS CLINIC – Please do not trust the staff and doctors of this clinic for their expertise or financing. I would never come back to this office even if all my procedures are given free of charges. I tried to give not even one star but that is not an option.
First visit is a rip-off – Based on the first visit, me and my wife are not recommeding this fertility clinic. Here's why they have lost our trust: - They didn't tell us how much the first visit will cost. They sent an invoice for $640 for one single visit. Seattle's other fertility clinics (SRM; Dr Kustin) charge half or less. - upon our complaints, we didn't manage to talk to anyone competent. We couldn't get through the front-desk receptionist or accountant to get some explanation on their rates. - even though my wife che... read more
Business response:
Our goal for all of our patients is to be as complete and thorough as possible. We strive for medical excellence and complete transparency and will always be upfront and forthcoming about our charges. Approximately 98% of our U.S. based patients have insurance coverage for their first evaluation, as well as diagnostic testing, and the follow-up consultation. They usually pay very little or nothing out of pocket for those services.
