Richard and the Best Hair... EVER! – I've gone to Richard at Headlights twice now, and I will never go anywhere else! He is by far the best stylist, and this is the best hair studio I've been to. The atmosphere is relaxing, comfortable, and fun. I have a great time every time I go, and walk out of there feeling like a supermodel. Joseph is the Best! – I have been to many salons in the Bay Area and Joseph is by far the best colorist I have been to. He REALLY listened to what I wanted and I felt completely comfortable with the recommendations that he made. I continue to be amazed at how many compliments I get on my hair! Richard at Headlights is the best! – Richard's been doing my hair for two years now, and I wouldn't go anywhere else in the city! If you have problem hair Richard is the man to see. Not only are his cuts outstanding, he has skill with color like you wouldn't believe! And he's great with both men's and women's cuts. If you are looking for a new stylist I highly recommend making an appointment with Richard. He'll help you look the best you ever have.
best color and styling by glenn – Glenn is the BEST...when he does your color he considers your skin color, the season, your mood, everything....and then he gets to work.....he's fast and careful and charming....the time flies by and at the end of the appointment you're gorgeous.....his highlights are natural and complex and he's gentle with your hair... Something for Everyone!! – I first went to Headlights when I was new to the area and I was a little dissapointed with the results- until I shopped around the city and went to other salons. I realized that it was the style in which professional women in SF wear their hair that I wasn't used to. Richard had given me a high quality, classy, top-salon standard style for a great price. Very Comfortable – I went to Headlights for the first time because of the reviews from CitySearch. I got what I expected, good service and quality results. I got highlights for the first time, and they turned out how I wanted them to be. Natural. No blonde streaks. They listen to what you want, and give it to you. Richard is AMAZING! – I grew up here in the city, & have tried many stylists, & Richard is the best. I think of him as my hair angel, he literally saved me! I first came to him when I was pregnant, with no energy to style my hair, I asked him for something easy to maintain that was stylish but I also wanted to work on growing my hair out. Bad Hair-Color Experience – I read all about the place, and went to check it out once I decided to revert my dyed black hair to its original dark brown. After being promised careful bleaching, I was left with bleach on for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour at a time, and the end result, after begging for a dark brown, was BRIGHT red/brown with -- BLOND HIGHLIGHTS. When this client came in she wanted to take her over processed very blonde hair back to her natural color. We explained to her that to bring blonde hair back to a dark color is a long process. We explained to her that it would take several applications and she would be in the salon for quit a few hours. When she left she said she was very happy and even returned for another appointment. It is unfortunate that she didn't tell us she was unhappy.
awesome! – Headlights is a great salon. There is a ton of parking in the area (off gough) after 5pm. They have online booking, a massage chair while you sit under the heat/dryer lamp, tea etc. etc. I had highlights and a cut done by Joseph. He is a true artist. . . you can tell he really loves and is passionate about his job. Also, he knows so much about all different types of hair.
