The other morning ( 11/3) I went to the ER because I had a lot of blood in my urine. After several expensive tests and 3 1/2 hrs later, on my discharge papers it said, and I quote, " You have been diagnosed with hematuria" ( For those who do not know, hematuria is a medical term for blood in the urine). Well DUH!!!!!! I already KNEW I had blood in my urine, I brought in a sample with me!!!!! Then I was instructed to see a urologist as soon as possible. I am writing in regards to a stay at Bayonet Point hospital on Feb 25-27 I can not take a generic medicine for Percoset so the nurse said go buy it and the hospital can give it to you, here in the hospital, if you need it. My husband went and bought it for $400--I only ask for it one time and this hospital is charging me $276.00 for the one pill I paid for to give it to me. That is the most unreasonable charge I have ever had. I need another surgery with Dr Sincoff and will not get it done at this hospital if I have to pay ... read more

The nursing staff in the ACE unit were terrible. Seldom did they check on me, it took 20-35 mins to get a nurse when you called. The nurses seem to be eating or chatting in station area all the time, my meds were always late. Poor poor staffing nurses. I believe HCA needs to stop hiring agency nurses and employ there own staff. Agency nurses don't care, they come and go when they wish. The ER, that was even worse, my family was beyond words asr to their bedside mannar, and their medical care. My insurance paid 38,000 dollars... read more
