Crowded mani/pedi with no conversation – I use to get my mani/pedi from Roza and loved coming to her. Now nobody there speaks English. No one serving tea or having girl talk that made the time fly by. Avoid going on Saturdays because all of SOHO will be there.

great wax - not so great pedi – Olga was amazing for waxing! Unfortunately that was the best part of my experience. I also went in for the "Renaissance Pedi" which was twice as pricey. The only extra I got as opposed to the regular pedis next to me was overheated booties for 10 minutes. They should revise the description in their menu - no extra massage, harsh lighting/environment, nothing special at all. Next time I pay $70 for a pedi I'm going to Bliss where they always follow their menu.

First massage was so good, I had to come back for more. – If you want a relaxing and slow paced massage, go to Manuel. He made my 60 minute seem like 2 hours. I could not believe how wobbly my legs were afterwards. I have had massages in Vegas, LA, Miami and this was the best. Even better than the $200 at Bellagio. I want to keep him a secret, but my girlfriends are trying him next. Too bad he only works Sundays.

Vladimir is the best masseur in NYC! – I happened upon Haven by accident two or so years ago...and more importantly, I happened upon Vladimir! As a woman with chronic neck and shoulder tension, this first meeting wound up changing my life! Vladimir uses exactly the right pressure. He is thorough and does not chat during the massage (n one wants to have a conversation while they're being massaged!). The real difference, too, is that he goes the extra step...for example, instructing you on exercises/stretches you can do to hel... read more

great wax, good massages – I have been going here for bikini waxes forever. Love Monique, she is gentle fast and extremely thorough-- which is key! The basic bikini wax is very bare, which I like, almost a Brazillian at other places (in terms of what they take off). Also the prices are extremely reasonable (don't bother with the "special" wax, I really don't see a difference other than price). Have also gotten massages here, but have had mixed experiences with that. One girl (who has since left) gave me one of the best massa... read more

Chatty therapist – Went for a massage with my mother - "girls day out". My therapist Laura was just too chatty. Non-stop talking for the entire hour. I can't even remember how the massage was because she just kept talking. Even my mother who was in the room next door could hear her voice. Spoke to the front desk people about this and they just gave me a blank look. Avoid the talking massage therapist !!!

Pampering at its best – I've gone to Haven twice now; once for a full body massage and the other for the remedy facial. Their prices are comparable with other spas in NYC and I've not had any problems getting the appointment time, I wanted. The receptionists at the front were very nice and my appointments started at the scheduled time. There was minimal talking (which I like!!) with the esthetician--only at the beginning to ask me questions re: my usual skin care regimen and issues I wanted to address. She also suggested a s... read more

Avoid It – I was expecting a pleasant experience based on what was writen on here and in other places. Unfortunetly, could not have been further from the truth. The environment was very sterile and I certainly felt it was not worth the cost. Walking into the spa and going back to the changing room (which is unisex) I had a feeling of cheapness and that I could have been in any spa in Bangkok. The massage itself was way to rough and the masuse used way to much oil. After the massage I could not wait to go home and shower to g... read more

Haven = Heaven – I stumbled upon Haven after moving to SoHo last year and what a wonderful surprise! They give a great spa-style manicures/pedicures -- relaxing, detail oriented, massaging your hands/calfs/feet and perfectly painting fingers/toes. Then they let you relax there as you dry on the comfy chairs. No rush to leave as in a nail salon. It's my new weekly summer pedicure stop! I've had one massage here and the masseuse was friendly and used just the right amount of pressure. The waiting room is relaxing. The staff ar... read more
