Making an appointment online is impossible! They didn't have anything available for months. We called and had to wait weeks for an appointment even after I told them my engine light was on! . I called the day before our scheduled time to make sure they knew I only needed an oil change. The day of the appointment I got a call asking me, "why the car was there" even though the light on the dash board glared "oil change required"! Then they began to try to "upcharge or upsell" me. Service dept is not dependable. It has been a bad experience everytime, considering our car was purchased there I’d expect better. We have been though two separate stalling episodes over the last year, the most recent one in the middle of a parkway and we’ve been told nothing over 4 days was done because of a backlog of work. Would never buy another car here again.
well for starters other than selling a brand new car with paint defects that never should have left the factory such as 3 runs in the base coat color, fisheyeing and spits in the paint in the door jamb as well as a 3/4-1" crack in the paint on the tailgate which also looks like there may been a small repair under it, finalizing with overspray on the vehicle, keep in mind this car had only 9 miles on it at delivery. WE WAITED OVER A MONTH FOR AN APPOINTMENT AND WHEN WE PICKED UP OUR CAR THEY SAID THAT THEY DID NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. WE SHOWED THEM THE HORN DOES NOT WORK AND ENGINE IS NOISY. IT LOOKS LIKE THAT THEY DIDNT EVEN BOTHER TO LOOK AT THE CAR . SO WE BROUGHT IT TO ANOTHER PLACE AND PROBLEM SOLVED. SO I DO NOT RECOMMEND HASSETT OF WANTAGH .

I had to return my 2020 Ford Escape under the NYS Lemon Law because of a braking booster that never came in. I drove my new car off the lot 6/1/20 and brought it back 6/17 with less than 100 miles on it. I never got my car back. The dealership in Wantagh was not too much to blame, but the Ford Motor Company was not good to work with. I have since gotten my money back but the Ford Motor Company and the dealership are still under the impression that I still own the car. The whole process from start to finish was fantastic. My salesman was John Descul. WOW. He was knowledgeable, he spent quality time with me and explained all of my options. Where do you find service like that?He even spent time with me teaching me all of the gadgets the car had. I have bought cars from BMW in the past and did not get that kind of service. I had an oil change last month and usually Rich Spaletta helps me, but I got someone else who tried to sell me a $362 brake job when $99 special was available. Then he tried to sell me Transmission axle seal replacement for $562 so when I did my brakes I checked for leaks and found no sign of any leakage from the seal. So I went to my trusted mechanic and had him put it up on a lift check fluid level and look for any signs of a leak.
