A friend of mine won a grand. Seems like the only bad reviews are from people pissed about losing or not getting drinks fast enough. Lol.
Went to Harrahs twice while I was down for Mardi Gras. Did not stay at the casino. But I am a total rewards member and have been for a long time. I could not get a drink from that place. The wait staff was non existing. The second time we went for lunch now that was another joke. Only one cashier! You have 3 different lines. First time going with friends for Mardi Gras. Spent two days at Gulf Coast then left & headed to New Orleans. There's no comparison. New Orleans wS the bomb! Hotel & rooms fabulous. Extra towels brought up within 5 minutes of calling. The buffet was awesome with lots of choices. The Casino was impressive & the disco area lots of fun. Having a Starbucks was like icing on the cake. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful at all times and drinks were provided most of the time quickly. It's pretty and the buffet food was decent, but god forbid you try to order a drink or ask for help while playing. You will either never receive it or it will take at least 30min. At one point my girlfriend stopped an employee to let him know her drink never came and he looked her up and down and said 'you have to PLAY to get a drink' and then just left. Well we had BOTH been playing but wanted to move on to a new game but still had to wait for the damn drink, which never came even after telling two other employees. We will ... read more
Its an upscale Casino..I went to the bar and it was awesome...it had like this frozen trough where your drinks are served and can rest..meaning...really cold beer!.. very clean and to me this is important...it smelled good lol..5 stars staff very courteous!

I am not ever disappointed when I visit New Orleans
I love the fact that Harrahs is a smoke free casino. The casino , in my opinion, Is one of prettiest around and I have been to many of them. Harrahs has a lot to offer and is convenient for my friends and family to do something on the quick of the moment. Parking is easy! The only problem: I can't win at Harrahs! Boo! I have to take the good with the not so good !!!!! My little cousin good change lol
