Best smoked ribs, brisket, sausage and chicken I've had. We had over a 3 hour layover in Dallas so my sis picked us up from DFW and we headed over as it was very close. She works for Uber and said she's dropped off people and picked them up from there and it's always packed. Excellent choice for us. The best part was getting to spend some time with my sis. Second best part was spending that time at Hard Eight. Can't wait to go back!!!
I was excited to bring my friend from Colorado here for some TX Q. The ribs were so dry..barely any edible meat. The bacon/jalapeno wrapped chicken was beyond dry also. The sausage and brisket were ok..not great. Very disappointing. Our papers still looked full when they cleared our table. I've ate at this location before and the one in Roanoke..maybe it was just a bad day.
Very good BBQ, Pick out your favorite and they sell it by the pound. The brisket is awesome!!
One of the best smoked meat houses in town! Go early to avoid the long lines.
Only disappointed once - got there late and they were out of the chicken and shrimp poppers.... Otherwise - this place sets the standard for others to follow!!!

The best BBQ that I've ever had. A very close 2nd is Fox Bros. in Atlanta. I've eaten BBQ all over from Bogarts in St. Louis to Parkers in North Carolina and all in between. This place is awesome. Come hungry and leave full!
Damn good brikset and ribs. Sweet tea is a little sweeter than my liking but good!
The brisket was outstanding!! This place was recommended by a cool dude I met on the plane flying to Dallas. I will make another visit when I return to Dallas.
