We go to check in…the lobby and first floor smells like curry and ethnic food. Staff was very unfriendly, never smiled, made eye contact or engaged. Perhaps this is a cultural difference and tradition elsewhere, but this is America. If rude and indifferent was your goal, you get 5 stars on that.
I was very disappointed with my recent stay. When we checked in, we noticed that the jacuzzi in our room didn’t work. We politely brought it to the attention of the front desk clerk, but instead of offering help or even showing concern, the clerk was incredibly rude and dismissive. I’ve always chosen Hampton Inn because of its reputation for good service, but this experience was far from that. Broken Shower on/off knob in tub Commode in room not properly cleaned Rooms clean enough but not exceptionally clean Carpet is old, worn and dark Scrambled eggs at breakfast were the worst I have ever had. Biggest issue for me was the public bathrooms off of the Lobby were posted as employees only. If a guest needed to use one at check in or out, waiting in the lobby for something or just eating breakfast they cannot use the lobby restrooms. I would give this give stars but you could hear planes coming in all night at this hotel. I’ve stayed at other airport hotels and never had this issue but here you can hear the planes clear as day. But it seems that the rooms have been updated!
