Overall good experience. We are a late 30's couple with toddler and we're looking for a few days at the beach without having to leave or face big "Disney" crowds and we got just that. Beach was AMAZING! Resort was being updated and work was being done so it looks like improvements are underway. Pools need cleaning and updating but it didn't keep us from using them just an observation. We rented a 3 bed/3 bath condo and it was nice and clean facing the ocean. My family have been to this place many time. All other times I didn't noted any problem, well this time I don't know if the Matthew hurricane have some affect on the property, first thing i noted part of the grass is dead brown the whole building mildew everywhere apparently the whole building need pressure wash and painted, also did they fired all the staff members because I know it used to be many more people worked there also i noted the place not as crowded as it used to be. I had my Wedding here in 2016 & it was fantastic! Rooms were great, our wedding coordinator was awesome, food was outstanding, etc! Have our 1 year Anniversary at Hammock (a long weekend getaway). In comments in booking I discussed how we were married at the resort & were celebrating our 1 year anniversary. I thought maybe when we checked in I would get a welcome back or Happy Anniversary, something! Nope was checked in with no "warm fuzzy" check in. Basically check in & they would say Next! Hammock Beach Resort is so beautiful, clean and very accommodating. Lots of pool area that are kid friendly, fun and the beach is clean and gorgeous. They provide umbrellas to guest and owners but get there early if not they run out. You can bring your own. We will come back!!!!
Did not get the ocean view I paid for. Was moved still not full ocean view. There were no chairs available at the pool. Waited 30 minutes for a table for lunch, only to be told food orders would take at least an hour. All pools have mold growing, water slide is filthy. This is not the same place I stayed at last year.
We will definitely return before summer is over. Loved everything about our visit! Staff were great too!
We had a 3 bedroom and it was nice. The beds were rock hard, but plenty of space for my 3 and 7 year old children. The grounds are gorgeous but for the size of this resort the pool is not big enough to accommodate the guests. Some areas needs improvement. Would I bring my family back, probably yes but during the cooler months so my kids don't want to go to the pool.
