I live at Bellows Court, Apartments and West St. Paul. I have rented for the current owner for almost 30 years. Who has now employed HBG to manage his buildings. I have never been late on my rent, I recently became disabled. as I am an older woman, and had to retire at the age of 62 no fault of my own. Even if the check is dated on the 1st or before, we still require it to be mailed on time. We cannot control when your bank may have mailed the check. This company is a h*** to tenants. If you want to live in a peaceful place, please stay away from this company. Scam is their motto. I will use any platform that provides rental review to discourage anyone seeking a property to rent coming to this company. This company is unprofessional, unethical and all I wish them is to be out of business.

Their apartment building ************ is being misrepresented as a smoke free environment, it is not a smoke free building/environment as advertised. Management takes no accountability and lacks the willingness to do anything about the smoking in the building beyond sending notices. If I could rate this company a zero, I would. First of all, the townhomes of East Gate Estates in New Prague are poorly managed. Work orders mysteriously go missing. It takes weeks to months for maintenance to even address any concerns. There have been three different managers in the 15 months I have lived here. The one star is only because it’s what allowed me to give a review to The Charlton Apartments in West Saint Paul, MN. I was treated with fairness for the first two months upon living here. The building that I live in has caretakers that live onsite here on the property. I’ve returned home several times only to find that my rent paid apartment was unlocked after regular office hours. Left an apartment that they took over their management, they stepped and checked before I left and stated every thing in good status then deduced about 400 dollars from security deposit without prior notice claiming it is for cleaning I showed them the photos of move on compared to move out the apartment by far in better status and I moved earlier than expected (10 days earlier) the promised to return the money and this never happened! very bad experience and large deduction from security deposit and i kept trying to contact... read more
